We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, business name, and billing information when you register or upgrade. We also collect proposal content you create, client names and emails you enter, and usage data such as login times and feature interactions.
We use your information to: provide and improve the Service; send transactional emails (proposal delivery, notifications, receipts); process payments via Stripe; authenticate your account; and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
When you use the AI proposal generator, your project brief is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate proposal content. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not store your briefs beyond what is saved in your Penly.it account.
Proposal emails are sent via Resend. Your clients' email addresses are transmitted to Resend solely to deliver proposals you explicitly send. We do not use client email addresses for any marketing purposes.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Penly.it does not store your credit card number or full payment details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL database) hosted on AWS infrastructure in the US East region. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+).
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Penly.it uses session cookies for authentication purposes only. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your profile information from the Settings page. To request account deletion or a full data export, email us at support@penly.it.
Penly.it is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice within the Service.
